Ronald Christopher Burr, lovingly known as Chris, passed away unexpectedly on August 29, 2024, at the age of 54. He was a resident of Flat Rock, Alabama. Chris was a person whose warm spirit and welcoming nature touched the lives of many.
A funeral service to honor Chris's life will be held on Wednesday, September 4th at 2:00 PM ET at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Poplar Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM ET until the service hour.
A graduate of North Sand Mountain High School, Chris dedicated several years of his professional life as a supervisor Valley Knit in Fort Payne, Alabama, where he made lasting friendships. He treasured his family above all else, finding immense joy in their company. Chris was a well-rounded individual who enjoyed reading and exploring his interests, particularly as a passionate civil war enthusiast. His love for westerns and the science fiction universe of Star Trek was often shared with both friends and family.
Chris is survived by his beloved mother, Ruby Burr; his sisters, Christina Burr and Nickie Burr; and his nieces, Cheyenne Burr and Sierra Burr. He also leaves behind loving aunts and uncles, also many cousins and numerous friends.
Preceding him in death was his father, Floyd Burr.
