Annie Carrine “Sis” Dalton, age 87, of Bryant, Alabama, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Brother Brad Talley will officiate the service, and she will be laid to rest at Floral Crest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. ET and on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour.

A lifelong resident of Bryant, Sis was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church, where she lovingly served as church secretary for many years. Her church was one of the greatest joys of her life, and she faithfully served the Lord with a humble heart and a quiet spirit.

In her final days, Sis spoke with peace and assurance, saying she couldn’t wait to see Jesus and to be reunited with Charlie, the love of her life.

Sis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles “Charlie” Dalton; her daughter, Patricia Talley; her granddaughter, Holly Whiddon; her parents, Grover and Clara Bell Crocker; her brothers, James Crocker and Wayne Crocker; and sister-in-law, Marlene Crocker.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughter, Pam (Bradley) Talley; her sisters, Mae (Virgil) Watson, Dona (Jimmy) Wright, and Dana (Michael) Culpepper; her brother, Leonard Crocker; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Sis will always be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family. She was an amazing cook, and no one ever left her table hungry. She welcomed everyone with warmth, kindness, and a smile that made them feel at home.

She lived by the simple words she often shared: “If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.” Those weren’t just words to Sis—they were the way she lived her life. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone and chose kindness, grace, and compassion in every situation.

In her final days, Sis spoke with peace and assurance, saying she couldn’t wait to see Jesus and to be reunited with Charlie, the love of her life. While our hearts ache with her absence, we rejoice in knowing that her faith has become sight and that she is now home in Heaven, where every tear has been wiped away.

Though she will be deeply missed every day, her legacy of faith, love, kindness, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
