Susie Cathorine Arthur

Susie Cathorine Arthur, a resident of Flintstone, Georgia, passed away on June 4, 2026 at the age of 83.

Susie was born on June 20, 1942 to the late Franklin and Viola Roach and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed spending time together with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored and cared deeply about. Susie leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion and will forever be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. 

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Carlton D. Arthur; daughter, Sally Renee Arthur-Rakos (Alex); sons, Carlton D. Arthur, Jr. (Erin) and Roy Edmund Arthur; sisters, Vivian Johnson and Jenlu Morgan and two brothers, Troy and Larry Roach; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Blake, Emma Jean, Emily Rae, Sarah, Jack, Kate as well as five great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Roach and sister, Joyce Roach.

In keeping with Susie's wishes, she will be cremated and no formal services will be held.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to the caring at Hospice of Chattanooga for their compassion and care delivered to Susie during her final days.
