Mr. Wayne "Wino" Sims

Richard Dewayne “Wino” Sims, 54, of Bryant, AL passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM ET on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bryant, AL.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET and Thursday from 11:00 AM until the service hour.

Wayne was born February 6, 1969 to the late Richard and Imajean Sims. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Wayne enjoyed the outdoors, sports and was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer, and Alabama football fan. He always supported youth sports and spent countless hours watching them participate at the ballfields and golf course. Wayne worked for many years at Kochs Foods as a Diesel Mechanic Supervisor. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Cory (Brittany) Sims; daughter, Mattison Harden; bonus son, Derek Hicks; siblings, Elizabeth Michelle Sims and Glenn Sims; grandchildren, Hadley Grace Sims, Kailey Sims and Zay; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
